Tennessee River Boys

The Tennessee River Boys’ roots are in Country Gospel, and Traditional Country Music. Their beautiful four-part harmonies leave audiences spellbound. They have played on the Grand Ole Opry stage with greats such as Lynn Anderson, Roy Clark, Brenda Lee, Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si, and many others. In 2016, they took home Entertainer of the Year (Gospel/Country Gospel) at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville, TN.

My musical journey began in church as a teenager, performing for the first time at my nephews baptism when I was thirteen. I sang in the youth choir and adult choirs throughout high school and was a member of the youth ensemble "Reflections" at our church. I decided to major in music at Mobile College and tried out for the group "AWANA" which was formed by Roger Breeland and later became the group "Truth". I was the tenor for that group for two years and then joined the Southern gospel group "Cornerstone" where I sang lead and baritone. I was with that group for two years as well and then later joined the gospel group "Port City Quartet" as lead singer. I was with Port City for six years before moving to Nashville and becoming the lead singer for the "Tennessee River Boys".

I was raised in a loving Christian home in Tacoma, WA and surrounded by music as we all played a musical instrument.

As a teenager I was introduced to Southern Gospel and was “hooked”. I loved the message and the music.

I gave my heart to the Lord as a young boy and haven’t always served him as I should. I am so thankful we serve a forgiving and merciful God. I look to Him for daily strength and look with excitement as to what He has next in store for me as well as the Tennessee River Boys.

I was born and raised to loving parents, surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Washington state. Great memories involve my family playing and singing together. From an early age my interests were piano and fiddle. All I've learned has been self taught, it's so fulfilling, and I'm grateful. Years have passed, miles of travel, countless stages, from little country churches and fairs, to the Grand Ole Opry. I count it priceless to share music and faith with every level singer and musician along the way. I love my gorgeous wife of 45 years, my loving family, including our 21 grand kids. To all my friends, and my church, "You Rock." "My Big Job," passing on the love for all kinds of music, to all y'all!! I am truly blessed, thank you Lord!
